TERMS AND CONDITIONS

It is important to us that your excursion to The Farmyard Nursery runs smoothly and is an enjoyable and educational experience for the students. In keeping with our philosophy of providing a quality destination with professional services we have designed these Terms and Conditions to fulfil this expectation.

TENTATIVE BOOKINGS

We understand the decision process in selecting a venue for your excursion, so we are happy to hold a tentative booking for a maximum of ten (10) days without obligation. However, if you do not confirm the excursion within this timeframe, we reserve the right to release the session date without notice—unless an alternative arrangement has been made with us.

CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING

A booking is formally confirmed upon receipt of your booking form and your agreement to these Terms and Conditions of booking.

CANCELLATION OF BOOKING

Should circumstances require you to cancel a booking, please advise us immediately. All cancellations should be advised in writing.

FINAL NUMBER OF STUDENTS ATTENDING

Should your final number of students increase from the number advised at the time of booking, we request you advise us of any increase in student numbers BEFORE the excursion date.

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STUDENTS

The maximum number of students for an excursion is two (2) classes or fifty (50) students, unless otherwise agreed by negotiation.

SIBLINGS

Due to the structure of our excursions, siblings are not encouraged to attend. Our excursions are structured to provide a learning experience for the students attending. We therefor prefer that parents accompanying to assist in the care of the attending students do not bring siblings. Any parent that does attend with a sibling must be advised that an additional cost of $14.00 per child will be incurred.

FOOTWEAR

Teachers, parents and chidren should be advised that closed in shoes must be worn to the Farmyard Nursery. Any person who is not wearing suitable shoes may be denied access to the patting pens and paddocks. Please note that this in an OH&S requirement.

APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR

Participation by children in activities at The Farmyard Nursery is subject to appropriate levels of behaviour at all times. It is the responsibility of the teachers and parent helpers to ensure children do not wander out of the areas of the barn and respond appropriately to instructions given by the staff.

RISK MANAGEMENT PLAN

A Risk Management Plan (RMP) will be forwarded to you once your excursion has been confirmed. We request that attending teachers familiarise themselves with the RMP. The RMP will be provided to you in word format to enable you to tailor the plan to the suit the individual requirements of your school

PRICE

A minimum cost of $350.00 is charged for all excursions. This price covers up to 25 students. Should the number of students attending the excursion be greater than 25 an additional cost of $14.00 per student will be charged. These prices include 10% GST.

PAYMENT

An invoice will be raised on completion of the excursion. All accounts are to be paid in full within seven (7) days of receipt of the invoice. We accept payment by Bank Cheque, Personal Cheque, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Cash or Money Order.

EXTENDED TIME OR ALTERNATE TIME

Extended times or requests for an alternate time for an excursion may be negotiated, however this may incur an additional fee.

PERSONAL ITEMS

We cannot take responsibility for damage to, or loss of your own items before, during and after an excursion.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography, sound or video recording is permitted in all areas of The Farmyard Nursery.

SEASONAL CONSIDERATIONS

Activities and animals may vary due to the season or the time of day.

RESPONSIBILITY

Should we be unable to provide the facilities booked due to circumstances beyond our control, no further claim other than entitlement to a full refund of any monies paid may be made. Should this occur we would endeavour to provide you with reasonable notice.

RUBBISH

Bins are provided into which all rubbish should be placed after the students finish their snack break.
